Spectra254 celebrates one year anniversary with APIC Conference Exhibit, introduces new ambulatory disinfection system

Spectra254, a provider of UVC light disinfection solutions, will exhibit its UVC light disinfection products at the 42nd Annual Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Conference in Nashville, Tenn., June 27-29, at Nashville’s Music City Center.

Spectra254 will exhibit its complete line of disinfection solutions at APIC 2015 that includes: the Spectra 1000 Series mobile room sanitizing system, for operating rooms, hospital patient rooms and emergency rooms; the Spectra 500 medical transport sanitizing system, for emergency vehicles; the RDS-30 Series, for diagnostic tools and electronics; and the Spectra 600, designed specifically for the post-acute care services market.

APIC is predicted to draw more than 5,000 infection control professionals to its three-day conference on evidence-based advances in infection prevention. The conference will feature more than 250 exhibitors in the largest exhibit hall dedicated to infection prevention, as well as more than 100 educational opportunities for attendees. Spectra254 is exhibiting in Booth 636 at APIC 2015.

Spectra254’s portable, ultraviolet light-generating systems are ideal for acute and post-acute care facilities, including hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, clinics, laboratories, nurse assisted living centers and other settings where elimination of healthcare associated infections (HAIs) is of critical importance.

“We will be showcasing a comprehensive disinfection solution that can protect a patient from the moment he/she requires care: when he/she is taken to the hospital by ambulance, through his/her hospital stay and through outpatient treatment in an ambulatory setting,” said Sanford Green, senior executive at Spectra254. “All of our UVC light disinfection systems are 99.98 percent effective in killing pathogens. That level of efficacy cannot be achieved with chemicals alone.”
