Members of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association have elected Brad Taylor to the ASHE Board of Directors. Starting January 1, 2014, Taylor will serve a two-year term on the board representing Region 8. Taylor also will serve as President of the Missouri Society for Healthcare Engineering for 2014.

Taylor is the Director of Buildings Services for St. Anthony’s Medical Center. He oversees    St. Anthony’s facility maintenance, plant engineering, design and construction, real estate services and security. Taylor has 25 years experience in engineering, maintenance and construction.

“I will have the opportunity to interact with some of the most knowledgeable and experienced health care facility professionals in the country,” said Taylor. “I feel very fortunate through my involvement in ASHE to learn best practices in the health care field and to be able to bring them back to St. Anthony’s.”

ASHE’s primary function is educating its approximately 14,000 health care facility professionals nationally and advocating at the state and federal level related to codes that affect hospitals.
