Survey names 10 cleanest Chicago hospitals

Facilities chosen from Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey data


A recent Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey data published by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services resulted in a list of the 10 cleanest hospitals in Chicago, according to an article on the Becker's Hospital Review website.

Forty eight hospitals were surveyed and the top five with the cleanest rooms and bathrooms were:

1. Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center: 77 percent of patients reported that their room and bathroom were "always" clean

2. Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital: 77 percent

3. Hinsdale Hospital: 77 percent

4. Advocate Lutheran General Hospital: 77 percent

5. Advocate Trinity Hospital: 76 percent

The Illinois average of patients who reported that their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 74 percent, while the national average is 73 percent.
