Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan was placed on lockdown early Monday after reports of a man with an AR-15 and bomb threats were made to the police.

Lansing Police were reportedly dispatched to the hospital at 3:31 a.m. and as they made their way to the hospital they received additional calls from the same person threatening to bomb the building, The Detroit News reports.

Police searched the building upon arrival and deemed the threats to not be credible, Lansing State Journal reports. The building was cleared at 6:29 a.m.

"At this time we believe this was a swatting call. Right now there is no suspect, but there is no credible threat to the public," police said in a statement. "We take swatting calls like these very seriously and we continue to investigate to try and find out who is responsible."

Mackenna Moralez is the associate editor for the facilities market.
