Pest management programs should be tailored to the type of healthcare facility, according to an article on the Health Facilites Management website.

Knowing which pests can affect each type of healthcare facility is key to creating an effecting pest management program.

For instance, there are many places in long-term care facilities where pests can hide, especially the patient room. Kitchens, receiving areas and parking lots can host pest activity.

Pests are also a concern at doctors’ offices and clinics. Variables include location, surroundings and size of the office complex.
