The University of Tennessee Medical Center Selects Gozio Health for Mobile Wayfinding

The University of Tennessee Medical Center has selected Atlanta-based Gozio Health to develop the health system’s mobile wayfinding platform. The health system will be the first in Tennessee to launch a patented mobile wayfinding and patient engagement platform providing navigation to the main medical center campus, 8 additional healthcare facilities, and 3 parking garages — a total of 6.5 million square feet across the health system.

“The University of Tennessee Medical Center serves a diverse regional population, and providing our patients and their loved ones with mobile wayfinding will help enhance their overall experience and improve their ease of access to care,” said Michael Saad, vice president and Chief Information Officer at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. “As a leading academic medical center, we strive to provide the best care possible for our patients, and also to share with them innovative technologies that improve their patient experience. We are excited to partner with Gozio and believe their wayfinding platform will be a tremendous benefit to our patients, their families, and our staff ”

The system’s mobile wayfinding platform will offer patients and visitors a GPS-like experience with turn-by-turn directions to guide them from their home to their parking spot and on into their point of care.

Interactive maps will guide users to doctor’s offices, patient care floors, on-site dining options, pharmacies, nearby restrooms, and other points of interest. In addition to wayfinding, the app will feature advanced capabilities that improve the patient experience and access to care. Patients will be able to schedule an appointment, reserve their seat in urgent cares, check up-to-date emergency department and urgent care wait times, access virtual urgent care and more.

“Gozio’s wayfinding platform is increasingly become the first choice of regional health systems looking for a robust mobile navigation and patient engagement platform,” said Joshua Titus, CEO and Founder of Gozio Health. “Gozio’s exceptional navigation technology and ability to quickly scale up allows us to serve health systems with patients across states and health systems that are rapidly expanding.”
