Tips for better healthcare cybersecurity

Culture change can help providers improve their healthcare cybersecurity measures


A culture change and cybersecurity frameworks can boost healthcare cybersecurity measures, according to an article on the Healthcare IT Security website.

Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) roundtable discussions addressed how healthcare facilities can improve their cybersecurity efforts. 

The results of the discussion became part of a recent WEDI white paper, “The Rampant Growth of Cybercrime in Healthcare.”

The paper urged healthcare providers to drive a cultural change in how cybersecurity is approached, beginning with raising awareness to educate stakeholders around the risk and cost of cyberattacks.
