The phrase diversity, equity and inclusion has been a topic of many conversations in the last few years, and many organizations are starting to take note. Panels are popping up at conferences, companies are putting together task forces, and more people are starting to evaluate what it takes to become truly inclusive.

When healthcare facilities prioritize equity within their operations, it can help attract and retain new talent. There is a reason diversity, equity and inclusion has become such a buzz phrase. People want to see themselves represented in a workforce that reflects what current society looks like. When there is ample representation within an organization, it is far easier for someone to picture themself in a similar role.

DiversityInc. released its annual list of top diverse hospitals and health systems. The top 10 include:

  1. Northwell Health
  2. Cleveland Clinic
  3. Mayo Clinic
  4. Hackensack Meridian Health
  5. Mount Sinai Health System
  6. City of Hope
  7. NYU Langone Health
  8. Jefferson Health
  9. Henry Ford Health System
  10. OhioHealth
