TrackVia announced that Construction Santé Montréal (CSM), the largest public-private joint venture in Canadian history responsible for managing construction of the state-of-the-art Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Montréal (CHUM), has selected TrackVia's low-code workflow application platform to help track and digitize several critical aspects of the estimated $1.9-billion-dollar project.
Before TrackVia, CSM relied on a complex web of more than 15 interconnected spreadsheets to track and manage ordering, receiving, delivering, installing and inspecting an inventory of 180,000 pieces of critical hospital equipment and assets. Merely opening the spreadsheets took nearly 10 minutes given the sheer volume of data, according to CSM officials. More importantly, the spreadsheets were prone to errors, out-of-date or missing information, which jeopardized precise project timelines and budgets, and prevented real-time visibility for both CSM and CHUM management.
With full support from executive management, CSM evaluated several alternatives, ranging from online databases, which lacked modern workflow and mobile capabilities, to heavy enterprise systems, which would have taken months or years to install. CSM ultimately chose TrackVia's integrated web and mobile application platform for its speed to solution, nimble configuration capabilities, and intelligent workflow and reporting features.
"TrackVia ultimately gave us what we needed, how we needed it, and within the aggressive timeframe that we had," said David H. Mage, Design Manager at CSM. "To build an enterprise-grade, mobile business application within weeks was very impressive. We simply could not find any other solution with the flexibility and power of TrackVia."
With TrackVia, CSM gains full control and visibility over every piece of inventory and each installation project. Each inventory item and work order will be fully documented and traceable. The native mobile app will allow field workers to scan equipment barcodes, take pictures of completed installations, and even capture signatures to verify completed work. They can also use the mobile app to document damaged or defective inventory to help work with their equipment suppliers. Overall, CSM will be able to complete and verify installations faster—helping them to avoid the costly fines associated with missed project deadlines.
"We are extremely proud to be working with CSM on this critical project," said Pete Khanna, CEO of TrackVia. "A project of this magnitude and complexity truly highlights the agility and scalability of TrackVia's next-generation platform."
LOW-CODE PLATFORM FOR THE DIGITAL ENTERPRISE
TrackVia represents the next-generation of low-code platforms that helps companies rapidly configure powerful web and mobile applications built to fit their precise user requirements and existing workflow processes in less time than it takes to install generic enterprise software. Its intuitive drag-and-drop user interface allows users to make rapid application changes simultaneously across both the web and mobile with zero coding, providing true business and project agility.
A modern, enterprise-grade solution, TrackVia also provides advanced features for resource-constrained IT professionals and in-house developers, who are often burdened with building and maintaining systems needed by internal departments. The TrackVia solution provides an extremely fast development platform that they can use to configure and deploy apps. IT can even make the platform available to business users to self-serve their own individual department application needs, while maintaining full control and governance over company data.
