UNC REX Healthcare heart and vascular hospital designed to become regional referral center and with the patient experience in mind, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

The new hospital offers valet parking at the front entrance and a covered walkway from the nearby parking deck. 

The lobby is filled by natural light and has dedicated rooms for privacy during intake.

The 114 patient rooms features dedicated space for family and friends equipped with a privacy screen and couch that converts to a bed, the article said.
