Unique Program, Special Sessions, Announced for UV Disinfection Conference

The International Ultraviolet Association (IUVA) announces the detailed program for the 2018 IUVA Americas ConferenceFebruary 26-28, in Redondo Beach, CA. With over 70 presenters, the event offers the latest on cutting edge technology solutions for water and environmental disinfection. Sessions include Municipal Water and Wastewater, Water Reuse, Advanced Oxidation Processes, and an extensive look at the emergence of UV LEDs.

“In addition to our expansive program on disinfection, the timing and location of this event are particularly important,” according to Oliver Lawal, Aquisense Technologies and President of IUVA. “We are devoting two crucial sessions and panel discussions to review an upcoming EPA document on innovative approaches for UV reactor validation, and we are particularly pleased that the EPA will be joining us at our event. In addition, the location in Southern California offers a tremendous opportunity to engage local communities that are already well aware of the benefits of UV technology.”

The event opens with a half day workshop on UV and UV–AOP in Nonpotable and Potable Water Reuse; plus a technical tour of a local facility will also be offered on the final day.  In addition, special sessions and panels are planned to address “How UV-C Technologies and Standards Fit in the Fight Against Hospital-Acquired Infections (HAIs).”  For more information and to register please visit the IUVA Americas Conference online at http://www.iuva.org/Americas-Conference.
