Universal Lighting Technologies releases EVERLINE sign tube for simple outdoor LED replacement

Universal Lighting Technologies, Inc., a global leader in lighting and a member of the Panasonic Group, announces the expansion of the EVERLINE LED product line with the addition of EVERLINE LED Sign Tubes. These products offer the end user superior performance, maximum efficiency and flexible installation options.

The EVERLINE Sign Tube is an LED outdoor replacement solution for T12HO or T8HO lit signs and offers a seamless conversion from existing fluorescent to LED technology. The EVERLINE LED Sign Tubes are available in two-foot, four-foot, six-foot and eight-foot lengths, and they utilize the same spacing as standard fluorescent systems.

“Our focus with the EVERLINE LED Sign Tube is to provide installers more options and create a simple way to switch from a fluorescent system to an up to 60 percent more efficient LED system,” said Ed Klonowski, sign product manager at Universal Lighting Technologies. “The tubes are available in single-sided and double-sided options. This means the end-user only pays for the area that is illuminated, which saves energy and reduces their utility cost.”

The EVERLINE Sign Tubes feature 90-degree adjustable RDC-style endcaps for correct lamp orientation. The end fits into the existing sockets and allows the installer to orientate the product to face the sign acrylic. This is a significant feature because T12 fluorescent lamps illuminate 360 degrees. Using the RDC style end, the installer can place the tube in the socket regardless of how the socket was originally installed.

“The 24V constant voltage product allows for simple Class II wiring, including daisy-chain or traditional parallel wiring. In fact, you can run up to 32 feet of single-sided [16 feet of double-sided] tubes on one 100W power supply,” said Klonowski. “The LED Sign Tube also produces a smooth and even illumination with a lumen output of 340 lumens per foot delivered to the sign face.

The tubes are ideal for vertical to horizontal applications and can be mounted as close as five inches from the acrylic face. Available in a 6500K color temperature, the tubes are rated for more than 60,000 hours of usable life. EVERLINE Sign Tubes are sealed to IP55 standards for dry, damp and wet locations, and they are RoHS compliant.

“Universal’s expansion of LED Sign Tubes is further evidence of our commitment to LED technology and to providing the most comprehensive options to our sign channel partners,” said Klonowski. “These sign tubes will cover most existing sign applications and provide the superior performance expected from Universal, along with a five-year system warranty.”
