A Montgomery County, Va., hospital has launched a project designed to bring down medical costs while helping the environment, according to an article on the WSLA website.
Around 4,000 solar panels are being installed in an effort to make Carilion's New River Valley Medical Center more sustainable.
The panels will generate nearly 20 percent of the hospital's annual energy needs.
Once completed, it will be the largest solar tracking field in the commonwealth.
