Tests for bacteria in the water supply at Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Children (RHC) have been extended to the neighboring Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), according to an article on the BBC website.
Four children are now receiving treatment for infections which may be linked to the water supply at the RHC. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) has confirmed testing has been extended to four wards at the QEUH.
Infection control measures are also in place for patients with low immunity.
NHSGGC said it is working with experts from Health Protection Scotland, Health Facilities Scotland and Scottish Water.
